Amirul Mukmeneen, and A bag of Money

One-day Amir al mukminin of Omar ibn al Khattab gave 400 dinar of money. He asked a young man to accompany the money to Abu Obaidah. He said: "Go to Abu Obaidah and give this money to him. Wait a moment till you see what he does in his home".Then the young man departed to Abu Obaidah's home.

Arriving in Abu Obaidah's house, the delegate of Omar said;"I was delegated by the Amir al mukminin to give this money to you." Then Abu Obaidah said:May the invocation and mercy of Allah bless to him. "He called his woman slave and said to her: "Go and give of seven dinar to Mr. so and so and of five dinar to Mr. so and so. So Abu Obaidah divided the money till it used up. The delegate young man then went back to Omar Ibn al Khattab and told what he saw.

Omar ibn al Khattab then gave some money anymore and delegate the same young man to Muadz Ibn Jabal. Then Mu'adz said;"The invocation of Allah to him." Mu'adz called his woman slave and said to her: "Go to Mr. so and so's home and give the money, then give Mr. so and so too." Suddenly his wife came and said: "In the name of Allah! We are poor, so give us." Then Mu'adz left two dinar of the money in the wrapper fabric to be given to his wife. then, the delegate man went home to Omar ibn al khattab and told him what was happen. So Omar ibn al khattab was glad to what was happen and said: "In truth they were in brotherhood each other."
