Zubeir Bin Awwam the Braveman

This shahabah got guidance of Allaah to convert to Islam while he was very young, at about eight years old. Even he belonging to one of five sahabah of the prophet who got a direct news from the prophet as one of citizen of heaven. Masya Allah, how happy he was.

He was a courage man and known as expert in the struggle in Allah's way, he involved in the war od Badar, Uhud, Yarmuk and other wars with the messenger. It was not doubted anymore of his braveness in the struggle.

In the Uhud battle, Zubeir bin Awwam dueled with Thalhah bin Abi Thalhah al Abdary. Thalhah was the bravest horseman from Quraish tribe. When those two troops met each others, Thalhah bin Abi Thalhah distinctly screamed, challenging muslim warriors. None of sahabah answered the challenge. They all knew that Thalhah was a brave man known with his expert in sword playing. In this critical situation, suddenly Zubair ran and pounced on Thalhah bin Abi Thalhah as a tiger pounce on its prey. As a result, Thalhah bin Abi Thalhah fell down and Zubeir could finish him easily. This incident then followed by the takbir of the messenger and the shahabah.

Then the messenger commended Zubeir and said, "in truth, each of the prophets has a loyal follower, and zubeir is my loyal follower.

In the war of Badar he could kill Ubadah bin Sa'ad by sticking his spear.

In the war of Yarmuk, he was known as the bravest shahabah. At the moment, the enemies were so strong and their weapon was complete. They were Rome troops that their number was very large. At this time, Zubeir lead horseman troops. He attacked enemies rank without any fear. Whereas his troops went back because of fear. He did not want to give up.
